AC question

Temps in my area are breaking records. Yesterday I observed this reading while driving. How many of you guys that have SD's observe there AC temps? Would this be considered normal for these trucks? 2019 CC LWB 6.7 powerstroke

A 40+ degree drop would be alright at the vent. After you get it cooled off in the cab it will hold the temp you select pretty well. I agree these new systems aren't as cold as the old RF12's.

When it is that hot I open my windows hit recirculating and let the cab cool off while driving. After a few minutes the AC will start to catch up.

By default the AC works using outside air not recirculating the conditioned air, so as soon as the temp inside start getting reasonable, change it to recycle. Also getting the truck moving helps a lot in getting the heat out of the condenser. Like the previous comment said, try to blow out as much heat with the windows open for a few minutes. A 114°F is hot, I don't care how dry it is. I'm not sure about 114°F, but mine has no issues freezing everyone when it's mid to upper 90°s and sunny outside.

I run warm, so the A/C never feels cold enough to me. Even in 70-80 degree weather the A/C never makes me cold.
At 114 I would think that temp you are showing is acceptable. I need to get something to check mine at the vents. I wouldn't be surprised to see that same temp output coming from mine with much much lower outside temps.

60 degrees difference in outside temps and vent temps is ok...114 is just freaking insane hot.i know they can be colder. IN saudi we had vehicles that would freeze you pretty fast , getting the driver to turn it on was a different story.
personally the air can never be to cold
my expedition would freeze you out fast. the new 2021 250 is not near as fast or as cold, but using a temp gauge i can get 45 out of center vents at 95 ish outside

i have found using manual mode with recirc and fan on 6 keeps its nice and confortable

Low 90’s here and once the air is up and running it will freeze you out.
