My youngest son pulls into my office a couple weeks ago, comes inside and says his engine started knocking about 5 miles from my office.

I told him to pull it around into the shop and I'd take a look at it after work. He started it and it was a little more than "knocking" so I told him to shut it off and I'd put it in with the a forklift.

A couple weeks go by and last night I finally pull the motor to open it up and see what went wrong.

Found a problem------

 

Somebody needs to lightening up on the right foot application.

 

Ouch! 5.8 build time?

 

Nope, he gets another 5.0 from the salvage yard from a same year truck.
