Met a London Aire class A on the way home from work last week. Never heard the name before so I looked it up, made by Newmar in Indiana. They have several models and top of the line for 2022 is the King Aire, starting price is $1.372,224.00. I definitely live on the wrong side of the tracks.
Only 1.37 million? Side note: I'd like to upgrade from our current TT to a 5'r, but the market on trailers is as crazy as it is for trucks. Trailers are probably the worst at depreciation, and with the current inflation on them, it's a huge loss waiting to happen.

Ya, I'm waiting to upgrade my trailer, planning on a RV price crash. The ideal would be sell mine right before the crash, buy after the crash. We all know how well that typically works out, lol.
We were camped at Beverly Beach Camptown RV Resort in October of 2020 and there were so many Class A's there it was crazy! We felt a little out of place with our little 21 foot pull behind (pictured)! We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and the people in the spot next to us were leaving the next morning. Then on Thursday afternoon this huge Newmar (DutchStar IIRC) pulled into the spot next to us. There were actually several of them in the campgrounds, but this one was right next to us. The next day we got to talking with the owners and they invited us in and showed us around... the husband told us it cost $550k! It was very nice, but wow, I couldn't imagine spending that kind of money on one.... but did I mention how nice it was!

Those rigs are nice to look at, but you can get to so many more locations than they can ever even think about with your TT. The location is what makes camping what it is.
We went from a 32 ft TT to a 38 ft 5th wheel and are now hooked to our dream camper a 28 ft 5th wheel. Nothing like driving 5 miles back into a National Forest in a crappy road/trail and being out in nature for a week. Well, out un nature with a shower, bed, stove, etc...

There is a 2022 King Aire right across the lane from us here at the campground, very nice bus. I'm a big fan of the Foretravel Class A coaches also, check then out.

Nice spot at the beach!
I 100% agree! I like reasonably shorter, smaller, and honestly, less frills campers. This one is only 21 feet and it’s fine with us, but we wouldn’t argues with another 3 feet or so. We’d love around a 25 foot Airstream, but $$$$!! Well, not compared to these motor homes this thread is about! Lol. But yeah, the smaller ones will allow us to go more places and we like that.

The bus/coach style RV's can be pretty amazing, but you need to be doing a certain type of trip for that to make any sense. I can't see myself having a use for that type at any price. TT or 5th wheel or even a truck camper, I can wrap my head around how I'd personally use them.
This is one of those situations where each person makes a choice that is right for them. Eleven years ago when we bought our first Travel Trailer I didn't think I would be on my fourth unit and moving to a 5er. Eleven months ago I didn't envision not having an Excursion.
Given the right circumstances we could see ourselves in a small diesel-pusher 5-10 years from now.

I tend to get off in the boonies to camp. The trip to AZ earlier this year required 4Lo to get to my spot. The greater (off-road) maneuverability of a bumper pull trailer is one factor that would keep me from going to a fifth wheel.
