Have you checked the part numbers on the spring packs? Is there a difference in the number of leaf springs?.

The springs are all different. Depends on the configuration of the truck. 2 trucks that look the same could have different spring packs, they may look the same, but the part numbers will differ.

Yea, I was wondering about the springs on a standard tow package vs the max tow. I can see where the different trim levels and powertrain configurations would call for different spring rate.

Trucks with 157" wb and 20" wheels did get the heavy springs and frame.
