Question plow mount

Bought an '86 F250 for $1000.00. Came with an old western mold board and a western lift system mounted on the front, but no undercarriage mounting system. I've got some 2" angle iron and am going to make one myself, just wondering if anyone has any advice.
The truck body is in rough shape and it ran terrible when I got it but I through a tune up in it and replaced the carb. and now it runs like new. It is a big, heavy duty beast but I love it and my kids love driving it in the fields around the house. Am really glad I found this forum, I didn't know there was anybody else out there that got such a kick out of tinkering with an old beater truck.

If you are gonna use 2" angle make sure it is THICK walled..... if this is goon be just a plow truck I will tell you about the one that our local school district has for plowing snow... it is an 80 f250 4x4 with a 460..... the plow was scabbed onto it from something else....the upper mount ( pump mounting frame) is stock..stock from western that is.

as far as the lower mount (the one that takes all the abuse) it is just an angle iron frame like you are thinking about but in addition to that the fella with the welder took thick walled pipe ( 3" round) and ran them from the back of the pin mounts all the way back to just in front of the rear leaf springs... ... talk about bullet proof....

I have been trying to buy this truck from them for 4 years...they bought it new and the only time it moves is to plow snow...it is a 1980 with less than 6000 miles on it....

Good luck
