I know the original exhaust routed over the rear axle to the back of the truck. I was wondering if dumping the exhaust in front of the rear wheel would be a stinky problem? I currently have what is pictured. I could easily buy a straight pipe and curved piece and run the exhaust to the rear wheel. Or, should I run it to the back of the truck. I don’t want exhaust stink in the no AC truck.
Beware, exiting the exhaust between the body and the road makes it more noisy in the cab.
I'm guessing for his truck, like mine, road noise is not a concern. But thanks for pointing that out for those who use their truck all the time. I have so many other air leaks in the cab...

This is no issue unless you see cold climes and have rear disks. You will not be sucking exhaust back into the cab in that location
Thanks for the positive response. I am going to run it out just in front of the rear tires. Cheapest way to do it too!
Since I am being negative, I will continue. This is all from my experiences. I have found if you 90 it straight out in front of the rear tires, everything is good, especially if you bring it out beyond the body. But what I have found is all that pipe hanging out there needs support. The one I did like this I had to rig a hanger out there and hang it from the bed sheetmetal. You have a flatbed, so you may find you need to fabricate some sort of hanger from the bed to hang the pipe from. All that pipe out there wants to put a twist on the rest of the system. The regular hangers on the rest of the system won't keep it from wanting to twist and droop.

Just something to be aware of if you run into it.
Typically if you put a hanger on the outside of the frame it will be more than enough to support it.
