I have a 2020 F-150 with the 3.5 EB and I'm not getting power to the 12v pin in the trailer plug. I have checked the 30 slot in the fuse panel, I make sure it is in tow mode and I still don't get power to the 12v pin. Is there a secret to it, or am I missing something? BTW, all the other pins are working fine, as far as blinkers and brakes go.
Have you tested for voltage at the fuse? There are usually more fuses that control that 12v. Test for voltage under the hood fuse panel too. If you don't have a volt meter, a test light is cheap. Most any auto store has them.
Are you looking for voltage with a trailer hitched or open plug? I believe on the newer models the truck has to "see" a load to activate the charge lead. Seems like a number of folks have posted that, although I could be wrong.
The '14 has this relay too and is easily overlooked. The other thing I will say is the key has to be on for that pin to have power.
Do you know which relay? I have tried to use my Curt Echo Wireless brake controller a few times and I can't get it receive power. Truck will recognize the trailer is there then I try to plug the brake controller in and nothing. The brake controller worked fine on my Gladiator when I had it. I'm about to go to a Redarc brake controller, but I'm afraid this 12v power is more on the truck than the brake controller.

I don't offhand but I believe it is in the fuse panel above the radiator. It should be in the owners manual, it might be a fuse that needs put in place in there instead. Honestly its been 3 1/2 years since I bought the truck and put it in.
I'm pretty sure you only get power to the 12vdc power pin when then truck is in gear. I know that my running lights automatically turn on when I put it in gear.
Your truck’s “smart” trailer connector may have to “recognize” your trailer before it activates the +12 trailer battery charge circuit. Specifically, the truck senses the activation of both trailer brake lamps when the trailer harness is plugged in, the truck engine is running, and you press the brake pedal for a couple of seconds.
You may also need to create a “trailer profile” for your trailer. See your OM and the page below for additional information.
