Dealer Installed Level

Anybody have a dealer installed level? That’s part of the deal on my new F250 and I am just curious if anybody else has had experience with this?

This dealer is using the Ready Lift kit. Their lot trucks with the level also have the shock extensions and the sway bar drop spacers. Not sure if they have the track bar relocation and if they’re aligned after the level.

I would be most concerned with the always missed caster kit. Aim for at least 4 degrees.

Mine came with a 2" level from the dealer. They installed the spacer blocks and did not do anything else. Ask them to throw the truck on the alignment lift and get a printout of the settings. Do not accept delivery until it is in spec. There are dozens of posts on this forum detailing people's quests to get their front end squared away after modifying it. There are also plenty of posts from people who's truck wasn't right without even being modified. Insufficient caster seems to be a very common complaint.

Take a close look at their other leveled trucks and see if the front tires are evenly spaced from the fenders. If they did not use an adjustable trackbar it is very likely the driver side will be out farther from the fender than the passenger side. In my experience the Readylift trackbar drop bracket did not correct the side-to-side alignment issue. I bought and returned a Rough Country adjustable trackbar. The frame mount end has an internal rubber bushing and it compressed too easily, causing slop in the steering. I then bought a PMF trackbar and used the factory trackbar bracket and that was the ticket. If it needs the trackbar make them throw it into the deal - a quality unit will run $450 or more. I would not accept any trackbar that doesn't use a large Heim joint on the frame mounting end. PMF and Carli are two that I considered - there may be more.

If they are dropping the radius arms too then the caster should be good, provided the drop is in sync with the front lift. If they aren't then you will want the caster shims. A dealer should have them in stock. I would also look at the brake lines. I know mine are stretched and I don't like how they sit. Installing a little longer, stainless steel set is on my near-term list of to-do's. Last but not least - the headlights need to be adjusted downward after the level is installed. It's easy to do yourself so not a deal breaker for sure.
