Oil

What oil are you guys switching to at your 1st oil change? I have a 20 Ranger.

The brand is irrelevant, pick a oil that meets the WSC specs as laid out in the manual.

I'm using Mobil 1. With a turbo, the engine really needs a more heat resistant oil.

I let the dealer service my truck. It's cheap enough. They use Motorcraft synthetic blend I think.

This would apply if the turbo wasn't water cooled as this was a very real issue on turbo has engines decades ago.These days you won't see center cartridge temps on the turbo exceed 350 degrees. The turbo is the least of the concern LSPI and fuel dilution are the biggest issues.
