Where was all that crud? Obviously in the fuel, but how'd you guys find it?

If a pump doesn’t have a “contains up to xxx bio” sign, is it safe to assume there is no bio diesel in it?

No I would not bank on no bio at all.

Also, my recommendation is to stay away from BP. There color coding of the fuel nozzles is backwards of everyone else.

Very true. Shame that they don't know their colors. Guess the folks across the pond aren't too swift at those types of things. Obviously the red, white and blue of Amoco got them tasting sour grapes after the "merger".

I do agree though, if you have to go to a BP, be very mindful of the handle colors.

Handle colors mean nothing. There is no standard of any kind for gas or diesel pump handle sleeves. I've used yellow, black, and green diesel handles. I've yet to see a red or blue diesel handle but I'm sure they're out there. I don't care what color the handle is. I am queued on what the pump selector reads and from what pump I'm taking the handle. If you do it this way, you will never pump gasoline into your diesel tank.

same here, but if I have never fueled at that station I squirt some fuel on the ground look at the color and then smell the pump nozzle. I know not green but when it would cost over $100,000.00 to replace my truck I just don't care

it is easy for me. At home I fill up at the local co-op truck lanes.

On the road I only fuel up at truck stops in the truck lanes.

No BP truck stops.

I usually fuel up at a local Shell station truck stop combo. Fairly decent fuel prices..quick product turnover and high speed pumps in the truck lanes. Owned by a Shell distributor and fuel is delivered by their own drivers. Never had a problem with this location.
