Yes sounds like too much; maybe, you should start with like a Camry or something. ;-) Seriously, there's a great post in the sticky Tech Folder at the top of this forum on what to look for when buying trucks with this engine. As for all the other aspects of the truck - interior, exterior, mileage, accessories, trim level, etc. - there is great debate over that value.
One good place to check is the Auction Results at Richie Bros. (rbauction.com) You have to create a free account, which may require some type of ID verification. Once you have an account, just search the site for your truck description, selecting Results and not Upcoming Auctions, to see what all of those trucks sold for in their auctions.
Of course, you can use the online services - KBB and NAIAD. I'd just go for the wholesale prices they quote.
