Does anyone know if the center caps ("poverty" caps, "dog dishes") are specific fits to 16.5 wheels, or will 16" center caps fit the 16.5 wheels on the 8 lug 3/4 tons? I'm assuming that 16" beauty rings will of course not fit, but possibly the center rings are the same?
My truck is out-of-state at my granddaughter's place in California, and I have no way right now to take measurements of the nubs.
Thank you for the reply and info. Lack of 16,5 tire choices is making me consider going to 16" wheels. The truck will be undergoing a slight restoration after many years of use. I bought it from the actor/comedian Red Skelton's widow not long after his passing. They had a horse ranch in Riverside County, California, and from all the paperwork that came with it, it was his baby. Thanks again.
Yes 16's are the way to go 16.5's have basically been obsolete for years. if you want to retain the original look you can find 80's vintage 16x7 Ford pickup wheels or they used them on vans into the 90's. they're not hard to find and pretty cheap, they will allow you to choose from many sizes and styles of tire. and your caps will fit them.
That's neat to have a pickup with some special history.

F250 Supercab, 460 cid/C6, stock except for headers. Only ongoing issue its ever had is with the stock Motorcraft carb, I'm loooking to replace it and possibly the intake, but not sure the route to go here. The Skeltons apparently used it for horse trailers, per decals on the shell his wife Lothian was into cutting horses. Its a Camper Special. Its solid rust-free, but due to multiple (huge) mirror mountings, it needs door skins. Only other issue is the front seat- covers for the Supercab split-back ones don't seem to be available, probably going to a shop for that. I'll have to post pics when its done.
