Been thinking about the same thing, as my tip-in throttle response is terrible. Only issue I can think of is if transmission damage can occur with quicker application of power, which is the explanation I've read about poor throttle response in the 6.4, but haven't heard any discussion about in the 6.0.
I don't think I've seen such a thing for the 6.0, especially since they don't have a throttle! Diesel engines typically aren't as responsive as a gasser just due to the nature of how the engine operates (no throttle, turbo charged, etc). The VGT turbos made a pretty big difference and the new engines have improved further with the electronically controlled VGT (6.0 is an oil-fired solenoid). You want lag, go drive a non-VGT 7.3 or 5.9 Cummins. That's lag!
