Have a 2012 f450 chassis truck 6.7 105k miles delete for several years. Just had a issue the truck just cut off no limp no warning just off stop it restarts fine, this happed 3 times before I go home, pulled codes p228e p0093. No leaks but the crazy part is of you drive hard it doesn't die if you are below 45 is dies alot. I have a spare 6.7 engine so 1 at a time swapped every sensor regulator fuel control valve and new filters motor craft. No change, can't see any metal in the sensors i even cut the filters open no contamination can be found. The low pressure warning never comes on just cuts off. I not sure what it i over looking think I'm going to put a lpfp on it and I don't see and signs that the hpfp is bad.
But I would think that the lpfp low pressure message should come on plus the hard you drive it runs better. I'm probably going to drop for tank as I use a additives just to be sure.
Thanks, got a new complete drivers side fuel rail assembly coming next week so we'll see what happens. Truck has new HPFP and runs prefect till it doesn't haha so we'll see how it goes.
Replaced the drive side fuel rail assembly with the regulator pre installed and it solved our issue. This issue was happening after we replaced the HPFP due to stalling when coming to a stop. After we replaced the HPFP it ran great but when going WOT up a hill for 15-20 seconds the truck would shut off and throw these codes. Then would restart and be fine till you got on it again. The new rail assembly fixed it.
