Hello all, As some of you know, I’ve been doing some much needed repairs on my 86’ F-150 XLT Lariat, 302, EFI with AOD. Thank you all so far for the help. Along the way I found a part that I’m having trouble identifying (see pic below). I replaced the IAT or ACT sensor & found this other similar sensor further back on the upper intake, which I didn’t replace. I’m sure whatever it is it’s in the same nasty shape as the IAT was, it looked like a burnt match. 😂 What exactly is it? My Chilton manual does not show a picture of it & I'm wondering what I need to order so I can replace it. Could this be my knock sensor? I’m stumped! Thanks guys, I really do appreciate all the help with my beater.
Franklin2, That’s it, the knock sensor. Which manual does these illustrations come from? They look way simpler to follow than what I’ve got. I actually see a few more sensors that may need attention. Thanks for the reply. You as well diggerrigger.
