no. they both work off a different system. the remote code to the system. if you coded the f150 remote to the system in the 2002 explorer then the code for the f150 is replace with the one for the explorer.\

Actually the truck picks up the code from the remote..I was testing the gem modules in my mustang and the wifes..hers was not working right so i programmed my remote to her car and mine was right next to it and it worked on both at the same time..one remote..there is a procedure turning key on and off like ten times and leaving it on and its in program mode..As long as the remotes are fairly similiar it will work..my dads linclon remote wouldnt work though.
