Hey all, I'm trying to swap out the reluctor wheel and the pickup coil in the distributor. There is a roll pin holding the reluctor on and I can't get it to budge by prying on the bottom with a flat screwdriver. Does anybody have any way to get the roll pin out? I was thinking of trying to start a screw in there and pull, but I'm not too confident that that'll work.
any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated.
X2 on use to flat tip screwdrivers and make sure you do NOT bend the arms or the reluctor wheel. Just in case you need to reuse it. Also do not lose that roll pin either. Put a piece of small wire down in it as you pry up on the reluctor to help catch it. I also hear you can use a small gear puller on the reluctor wheel. Then yes a snap ring is under that to hold the plate on.
