Installed my Boost Auto mirrors last week and they are the cat's meow compared to my factory mirrors in terms of visibility.
However, while sitting in a parking lot, pondering why I might own another brand of pickup, I noticed that the driver's side mirror had an assembly issue. The overlapping lip between the two two mounting braces was not "seated" properly. I would find no assembly points on the mirror to let me loosen a nut or anything that might help getting it together correctly.
The Boost guys said I should be able to use my hands to squeeze it together properly. Have not put a lot of pressure on it yet, but wondering if anyone else here has had to "fix" a Boost mirror. I am awaiting a response to my follow up question to the the Boost folks - "if the mirror breaks while trying to fix, will they replace it under warranty." I hope the issue is obvious
Yep. Squeeze it. Plus you have a record of contacting them and their recommendation. There are internal clips and it looks like one didn’t engage. If it breaks, then send it back. If it works, you save a lot of aggravation.

It went against my grain forcing something when I don't know how it is constructed. But, it worked. Now I want to know how these things are assembled, but I am not breaking it apart to find out.
I had the mirrors on both sides of my Super Duty broken at different times. The outer shell has male to female clips/tabs that cannot be released once they are pressed together. There is no way to engage them with a tool. The design makes them virtually impossible to service or repair.
The mirrors were initially made by a company called Schefenacker in Australia. Don’t know where the Ford mirrors are made now.
