Hello everyone, I have an 86 Ford F350 with the 460. It has the dual tanks and the only one left in the truck is the rear tank. It leaks and I am replacing it. The in tank pump died a long time ago so someone put an inline pump on the frame rail and it seems to be giving me trouble. I'd like to buy a new pump/sending unit assembly but everywhere I look, whether that be RockAuto or local parts stores, all of them mention a plastic rear tank. Mine is metal, and so is my new replacement tank. Is there a difference when it comes to the pump/sender? And if so, could someone point me in the direction of the correct pump and sender combo for the 19 gallon metal fuel tank located behind the rear axle? Thank you.
