Line out convertor placement
I am wondering where is the best place to put my line out convertor. Should I put it closest to the factory HU, or closes to the amp? If closer to the HU or if it doesn't matter, then where in a 2002 F-150 XLT Supercab, is the best place to put it so I can get to it with ease, rather than having to rip the dash apart?

I would put it closer to the amp. If you are converting high level speaker outputs to low level line signals, the speaker level is less susceptible to noise. So I would run the speaker level wiring the most, and the low level the least amount. If you have to run the low level any amount, make sure the wiring is shielded, and keep it away from your amp 12 volt power wires as much as possible.
