We bought a 2012 F550 last fall with 80k on it, I didn't realize at the time the CC trucks had a little different setup as far as turbos and piping. Immediately after buying the truck we started dropping injectors and replaced the first turbo. After 3 of them went out we decided to pull the cab and replace all of them with new remans, even after all the injectors were replaced we kept getting a P0269 code. We replaced the #3 injector 2 more times, triple checked the trim codes, checked PCV and no shavings etc. After doing some research we decided to get away from the CC turbo setup and we opted to purchase and KC turbo and piping kit, EGR delete, ez link with TSD tunes. And while we were at it we updated to a 2017+ hpfp and sent all the injectors off to get tested. After getting all that together the fuel knock was still there and we were still getting a P0269 contribution #3 code. Within 2 weeks of putting the new turbo and injectors in we were on an out of state work trip and the engine seized. We didn't have much choice so we sent the truck to a jasper dealer and had a new engine put in the truck. Picked the truck up this week with new engine and injectors, hpfp and turbo all tested and inspected and we are still getting a p0269 contribution code even with this new engine. We are stumped and we have thrown so much money at this thing at this point I don't know what to do. Also truck source diesel has been handling our tuning and my desired rail pressure vs actual drops 4000-5000 on a WOT pull after a few seconds with a mild tune they made for us. Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. I have searched every contribution code thread I can find and most are low compression, valve or bad injector issues none of which we have since we just replaced the old engine with a new one. The new engine has the identical fuel knock that comes and goes as the old engine as the pcm tries to balance it. It just makes no sense to me why it's the #3 cylinder after we installed a complete new engine....
