Thanks - I've been wondering about the Driveshaft. On your truck, did you have a shudder/vibration ever since it was new? Or did it develop after you'd driven it for a while? My truck used to drive very smooth until 3 months ago when the shudder/vibration started up - at about 63,000 miles
The first couple years it was smooth as glass. And right around the 40,000 mark is when the vibration started. Since the Driveline fix it's been absolutely smooth as glass again. Rides almost as good as a Camry at 85 miles an hour on those Michelin lol....
The latest... just had the tires Road Force Balanced. They're all good: 8# & 15# in the front, 18# & 39# in the back. The rims are all good - watched them myself while they were on the Balancer. Talked to a guy at a local shop that has a 2019 Tremor. He experienced Death Wobble and took it to a Local Ford dealer under warranty. He said they replaced the Steering Stabilizer and some other parts (he didn't know what). He thinks my truck is showing the early signs of Death Wobble....
A Front-End Tech at the same local shop is aware of the shudder in late model Super Duty's... He was wondering if increasing the caster on both front wheels would eliminate it. He said they increase the caster on trucks that are lifted. Interesting idea - I wonder if anyone has tried that and had success.
