Fitech issues - fuel pump power control

A while back fitech had a sale for a kit that included a “force fuel” fuel pump which i jumped on. Over a year later my re-wiring and engine rebuild was completed so I’m just getting around to the fitech EFI tuning.

Things seemed to be working fine for my 1st engine start

Now, not so much. The problem is that the fuel pump power seems to be getting cut off. I put a multimeter on the fuel pump and can see the voltage go to 0v for a second, fuel pressure drops, engine stumbles, then it returns to 13v and the engine catches. I’ve set the fuel pump PWM setting in the fitech ecu to 100% to see if it had something to do with it but the issue continues.

I’ve checked the fuse holder and the fuse is securely in place. Anyone else experience this issue or have suggestions? I’ve emailed fitech and will call them during normal hours this week, but i’m hoping to avoid tracing down a wiring gremlin.

I followed these instructions from fitech support to get it working:

There is however a some settings in the software to change since the voltage is cycling, that would indicate it is in the EFI not the force fuel. First make sure the white ignition lead of the fitech EFI is getting battery voltage when the key is on. In the main menu go to display set up and change pro calibration from Hide to Show. Go back to the main menu and go into Go EFI PRPO Tuning. In here towards the bottom of the menu look for fuel PUMP Control. In here change volts for pump on from 9 to 19 and send to ECU. Also in here look for PWM low mid and high and change the low to 60 and the mid and high to 100. Once you are done turn the key off for 20-30 seconds and then turn the key back on and see if the pump turns on. If it does power up the circuit is good and you should be good to go from there.
