I cannot find anywhere what wire colors in the Dorman 85898 light socket are for. I realize they are not going to match and the right and left wiring on my son’s 78 F150 are different, but still
messing with the turn signals and am trying to confirm I have them correct
the socket has red, white, black.
drivers rear has yellow, brown, black
passenger rear has green brown black.
Haven’t done the front yet
may be a dumb question to some, but I am a social worker and not a mechanic or electrical engineer!
Black is ground. Red and white are power for park and stop/turn. Hook up the black wires and temporarily connect the red and white wires. Test the lights. If they are not working in the way they are supposed to swap the red and white wires and re-test light functions.
