Hey all, first time poster here. I have a 99' superduty with 146k on the odometer, thing is in January the truck was stolen, recovered 3 weeks later with some bed side body damage, I am about to head out pulling a trailer next week and decided to check out how the truck is acting in tight steering places. Went to a large parking lot and drove the truck in a locked steering wheel both to the left and to the right. At about the halfway through the circle there is about 5-6 thuds coming from the front axel. Is that a normal thing? Is it from the gears because of them having to compensate for the turning radius? It happens at the same point every time, left or right makes no difference. Am I imagining a problem? Also found that the dash **** when turned to 4X4 high works but not when I switch it to 4X4 low. nothing happens.
I have only had this truck for a little over 4000 miles and that is over a year and half so not real knowledgeable about this truck.
Thanks for any insight
