Is it possible to adjust the height of the rear of a 51 F1 cab(with respect to frame)? I don’t see any place to insert shims like one might normally do. I only ask because the bottom of the cab on my driver’s side rear corner is closer to the running board than the passenger side....rubber the paint on the running board in actuality. I haven’t had to do any floor repair work in the rear corners, so I don’t think anything’s changed there height wise. Have replaced the rubber in those mounting brackets.
If the cab is tilted and the bed is crooked, you may have bigger issues than a mount problem. You may want to make, or have done, a very thorough frame inspection. You could have a crack, sagging or a twist in the frame that would be better to address correctly, rather than patch with band-aids and shims.
My 2c.
What I meant was that - like the description for the adjustable arm says, if the bed looks crooked, it's possible that in fact the left side of the cab is low. A flange on the bottom of my cab is making contact with the top of the running board on the driver's side but not on the passenger side. The distance the body line and top of the bed front pan doesn't look uniform from left to right; the eye is not happy. It's all adding up now. There's nothing immediately obvious with the frame, but a thorough examination has not been done.
