I have a 95 Std cab with dual tanks.. Trying to get this beast back on the road .The tanks were so polluted with bad gas water and rust .. I just replaced both tanks and pumps .. Now it seems like it's gasping for fuel .. On either tank .. I thought maybe a vacuum leak .. I capped off the EGR and the vac port for the canister purge system ,, I have 32 psi at the rail and right at 40 when I pull the vac line off the regulator.. I cleaned the Mass air and the Idle control with no significant effect .. So I replaced the IAC..and it smoothed right out .. So I took it for a ride .. It ran like it was ready for the drag strip .. I put about 4 to 5 miles on it ,, But it was real low on gas .. So I stopped back by the house to get some cash to head to the station .. I restarted it backed out dropped it in drive and it wnnt right back to square one ,,,
Any past experiences resolving these Please send them to me .. .. This 95 Does Not have a selector valve .. Just a Tee in the lines to go to each tank..
Unfortunately new does not mean good with parts for these older trucks. Rather that trying to figure it out at this point, you should return it for an exchange. If you can get Motorcraft and it is priced reasonably, get it. Offshore products are very hit and miss.
EDIT just saw Torq post. If you didn't change the filter get one at the store when you get the IAC replacement
The filter was changed when I installed the new tanks and pumps .. The fuel pressure is the same from both tanks and I did remove the filter to see if it may have clogged up .. But it was clear.. At this point I don't see where swapping out both new pumps could be the corrective action ... I'm still open for new logic and suggestions..
Also does anyone know where I can get a diagram of thr fuel and vapor system ?

I was referring to changing the IAC., Not the pumps.
