Interior parts

I wouldn't lay too much blame on the kids. Many of the interior panels on my 95 have become brittle and cracked around the fasteners. It's now sporting a healthy population of fender washers and wafer head screws to grip the holes that have busted out. Ford doesn't get high marks from me on the interior panel material quality used in the Aerostars.
I live in the temperate climate of southern Ontario. I can't imagine what the panels would look like if I lived in Texas or Arizona.
If you go shopping at the junkyard, take a close look at what you're getting. You may end up with a piece as brittle as what you are trying to replace.
Cheers,
Eric

I ordered a rear sill plate for my 94 back in July. I've been calling since to be told its on back order. Went by today, and they told me Ford no longer makes the part. They don't make most of the plastic interior parts any more. They found one at another dealer. Makes me mad since the interior parts are the same as the 97s, that Ford would just stop making them. For the slider I would hot foot it down to your dealer and have them do a search, since the slider door panel takes the most abuse.
