Hi everyone, I have an 02 F-150 with the 5.4 Triton V8. I did a scan on it recently, and it put up the code P0171. The truck has been driving smooth and I haven't noticed and performance impacts. When I checked the engine, I noticed this hose which had been split in half. I inspected the other hoses and they didn't appear to be damaged. Does anyone have any information on how to fix this, or where to get a replacement part? I've attached a couple of photos as well. Thanks!
That is your PVC valve vacuum air intake per heat throttle body hose adapter. Go to a parts house and look at the hose connectors that have an end like that. There is one in a package of connectors that I got a while back for that. The little plastic line slides into that connector and the PCV adaptor.
The small plastic tube line runs to your PVC and there is a split in it that runs to around the back of the throttle body just under the idle control valve to where it connects to the throttle body vacuum.
