All depends on how and for what you stand up and fight for. If it's to belittle someone else and try to bully them into submission for not thinking as you do, then that is not a Man at all, but a coward hiding behind a large arrogant and ignorant mouth. Choose your battles wisely and you'll get worthy opponents
Yes, I am a man, a southern man (and we don't need Neil Young).
I am a man that loves women, loves my country, and loves my President. I would fight to death for any of those.
I think you approach the person you have the problem with and let him know about it. Try to work something out. If he doesn't respond to the initial coversation after a given amount of time, then yes I take it to his supervisor. I never go over anyone's head unless the original person gives me reason to. I try to work out any problem I have with the person I have the problem with before bringing anyone else into the problem. If that's what you mean by being a man...then I guess put me in that group. If you are talking about bullying somebody to get your way or resorting to fists when things don't go your way, then I am not and do not consider that to be a man.
Don't get me wrong...I'm willing to stand my ground and will fight for my beliefs, but I believe in trying to handle all matters in a civil manner and would only resort to force in order to protect myself, a loved one or somebody that needed help.

No I'm not physically a man.
But I can hold my own when it comes to problems and confrontations. That Doesn't mean that I have been involved in any cat fights. I'm more of a person who tries to work things out in a level headed and peaceful manner. And I don't back down. I'm also willing to admit when I'm wrong. But that doesn't happen too often.
