OOrah! You goin' to the birthday party? I can't find one up here and November 10 rapidly approaches. Those guys at Tun tavern knew how to have a good time.

yeah i am going to the bday, but sadly, dateless this year, but tix are 50 bucks anyway, which i spent on an underdrive pulley instead of a dates ticket but i am an nco this year so itll be cool
I thought being a man meant living up to your obligations, pulling your weight and keeping your word. Do theses simple things and there is no need for confrontation.
Do I need a tattoo on my arm, a stripe on my sleeve or gun in my hand? No. I love my wife, honor our vows, support my family, do my job and mind my business. Hopefully, in a few more years, I can be a man like like my father.
This is not exactly answering the original question but I think the gist is gotten.

I am a man that loves women, loves my country, and loves my President. I would fight to death for any of those.
lol I'm not much of a fighter, haven't needed to. When someone with me, i make them look like a complete idiot. Eventually if the problem persists, i get in their face about it. But otherwise i dont fight much. 5'7" 180 Lbs, i'm short, but definitely tough

It takes a man not to act like a egotist, thinking others aren't entitled to opinions when they differ from yours. A man knows its better to be happy than having to prove he's right all the damn time (that's what teenagers do). A man picks his battles, knows which are worth fightning and which are just pissing matches.
Wearing a uniform doesn't make one worthy of respect, being honorable does. Its not the uniform that makes the man, its the man that makes the uniform. Motorhaven have been ripped off three times in the last several years: once for $15 by some punk in Alabama, another time for hundreds by a man in uniform (state trooper) and the most recent for hundreds by another man in uniform (Navy). I've met a lot of honorable men and women in uniform, I've also met some that I felt shamed the uniform.
Do you confront someone about something, or do you go and cry to someone else about a "problem"?
Do you get intimidated by someone who won't back down from you and tell someone in charge, or do you stand up and be a man?

Do you have special situation in mind or is this a hypothetical situation you're asking about?
