Anyone else having problems with their diff leaking? The truck is only one year old with 16K miles. Hopefully Ford will cover it under warranty when I take it to the dealer.

So what is leaking? Cover gasket? Try snugging the bolts just a tad. That will probably fix it. Or take it to the dealer and have bumbles the “mechanic” tear into it.
Don't be alarmed if they don't do anything about it. There's not even a drip on the bottom of the unit. And the way oil spreads, you're looking at about three drops of oil. They might fix it since it's such an easy repair, but they might say to come back when it's actually dripping.
Cleaning it and seeing if it comes back isn't a bad idea. If it does I would take it in for warranty repair. Nothing should be leaking or seeping at 16k, or even two three times that mileage. One concern I would have is if they try to turn it around on you, and question if you lifted the front with a jack under the diff.
no its not residue from assembly. snugging the bolts may work if it were a gasket but not with sealer. looks like you hit a rock or something as theres a gouge mark on the bottom. perhaps that disturbed the sealer just enough to create a small leak.
i would say just fix it yourself but nobody likes getting their hands greasy these days

Then you did it yourself then somebody else at a shop that has no respect for your truck
this. The time spent driving to the dealer, waiting and driving back home will take you longer than just doing it yourself. Would be a good reason to change the oil (but then again I'm one to avoid dealers at all costs)
