Leaf spring question

I have a 1968 F100 2wd long bed. Can someone help educate me on what the second set of leaf springs is on here? Is this a helper spring? Factory? Aftermarket?
Thanks in advance.

The pictures show they are overload helper springs above the factory leaf spring.

Most likely they were added to carry a camper.

Yeah they're not factory. Those as said above are overload springs so that you get the nice smooth ride until you're heavily loaded and then they run on those metal bumpers on the side of the frame.
