A lot of guys recommended it and I didn’t have a jerry can at the time so I grabbed a bottle to top off the fuel filter only. I don’t have the stock filter it’s got two giant filters on the frame a fuel filter and a water separator. 33528 wix fuel filter

i think my problem was not topping off the water separator too.

anyways I’m getting fuel to the injectors but no start yet feels like I’m on the right track because it’s starting to sputter a little I’ve been using jb80 to help because wd40 doesn’t work like it used to. I used either the first day but I’ve decided not to push my luck anymore. Any tips to help get this thing running again ran perfect before I changed the filters. I’ve also topped off the front tank to full now and that’s the one I’m using. Tomorrow I’m gonna take the filters off and grease the gaskets I forgot to clean the mounting surface as well so we’ll see if that helps any input would be appreciated it’s got the mechanical lift pump but it’s got a electric primer pump by the filters. Maybe I’m not bleeding them right or enough. This was a very large water separator and the tank was only half full on an incline till I topped it off who knows how much air is in there. I haven’t tried disabling the fss yet. By the way it’s a 6.9

 

it takes a while to re-prime the system once air is introduced into it.
fill both filters with whatever. fuel, ATF, DK, kerosene. as long as it will burn in a diesel it will work.
turn the electric fuel pump on and crack the line into the injector pump till fuel comes out.
this will get you closer to starting.
crank no longer than 20-30 seconds, then wait 2 minutes to let starter cool off.
