Try putting a screwdriver between the drum and backing plate and pry on it a little to put some tension on it. While doing that, hit the front of the drum on the opposite side of the screwdriver.Also hit it from the outside of the drum towards the center. Make sure you spray where the lug studs are too. The hammer won't hurt the drum as long as you don't get carried away with it. Don't hit it too hard where there is no support, like where the shoes ride. Seeing that much rust makes me glad that I don't live there any more.
