I ordered on Friday, May 14 at 9:58am. Got my Ford order confirmation email at 10:04am before the dealer even sent me his screenshot of the order on his computer.
Priority code 11, whereas the other order on his screen was code 19.
You all might as well relax till the chip shortage gets corrected. The emails and proposed dates mean nothing at this time.
This discussion is about Ford implementing a new method for notifying their retail customers on their order status. This is not intended to mean anything about timing or expediting. It provides a communication from Ford directly at 4 distinct stages of your build, which should give you a source other than your dealer rep, who may or may not be a top performer.
The person who orders at my dealership is a long time friend and I asked them to enter my info. They did it late this afternoon and I received my email from Ford (confirming the order) shortly after.
did he go back in and add the email after the order ? my order was place on 5/4 salesman didnt add my email till 5/14 but ive never received the confirmation email. is there anywhere a retail customer can log in to to see it ?

Press your sales rep to confirm he entered your correct email address into the “WBDO order input screen”. There is more than 1 system within Ford’s ordering world, plus the dealer likely has his own. You’ll know when you finally receive your “order confirmation“, which I received the same day I placed my order. Others got it within a day or two (weekend).
My philosophy is that dealer reps are just like everyone else in the business world. You have the good ones, the bad ones, and everything else in between.

I have a very good relationship with this salesman. the first time he tried to go back and put my email in it wouldnt take, i sent him the link as where to enter the information and he messaged me back and said it worked. i have no doubt that my salesman entered the information. Ill check in with him if i dont get an email in the next day or 2. its not like the 2022 is getting built any time soon lol.

It was after the fact and I received the email right away.
What a strange time we live in.... when THE Ford Motor Company can not with any certainty tell me when they can build me a truck that MSRP’s north of 90k...... so so surreal....

Same with many industries. Try ordering a piece of machinery for your shop. Anything that has parts sourced from overseas will have an unknown delay.
I’ve already received my order confirmation E-Mail. I’m hopeful Ford will continue to keep me informed throughout the process via E-Mail sent directly to me. Has anyone received anything other than the initial order confirmation E-Mail?

Go to ford.com and in the top right click "My Account" and then "Sign In". If you have an account you can log in there.
Got it this time. Didn’t see a login option on my iPad, but I did find it on my iPhone. I guess I need to call my granddaughter to help me out (again).
Once I’ve logged in, I can see my last online build, but not my order. Not surprised really. I’ll have my granddaughter call Ford and advise them.
