I'm looking for a vendor who does a 2" drop spindle and has 5X5.5 hub disk brake setup that would work with the TCI IFS kit. Been waiting on TCI for over 8 months now have the TCI IFS kit installed minus the spindles, hub, brake setup. At this point they still can't give me a date and I have lost all confidence in them.
Does your IFS kit utilize standard Mustang II spindles? Or are they a specially designed part where only the TCI spindle will work with their kit? There are lots of places that make a MII drop spindle. Keep in mind that the original Ford spindle was a forged steel part, so it would be in your best interest to make sure whatever replacement you find is also forged steel, not cast or iron, to make sure it adequately strong. I'd also be wary of anything made by Helix or any of their pseudonym companies.
Another question would be are you sure you want or need a 2" drop spindle? Many people find them to be too low and are happy with the stock height spindle.
5 on 5.5 brake rotors/hubs don't have to be sourced from the same company. Brakes are a separate component from spindles. Here are some known quality options if MII parts will work for you.
Not sure if the IFS from TCI will accept a standard Mustang II spindle. Trying to find anybody that may know. Just got a response from them, they have the spindles but only ship with the brake assembly installed. They say the problem is
So the answer is, to my knowledge, no there are no other sources other than China…which is the case now for even OEM rotors. Bendix, Repco…all the US brands you recognize, are made in China. From what I’m hearing its going to get worse before it gets better. There will be major shortages for at least 6 months to a year on hard parts coming from overseas.
You do not want to use 2" drop spindles with a Mustang II set-up-- go stock spindles with 215 X 75 X 15 tires with coil springs and gas shocks-- did you call Speedway tech line-- Good Luck
I used a M2 and it is low enough. I sure would not go 2" . I would tell you to come to the F-100 nats this weekend in Pigeon Forge but I see you are a couple more miles out.
I will give the opposite opinion and say I love the stance on mine with 2 inch drop spindles, and very rarely rub on any driveways.
Thanks Nick, I think your stance, looks good. Also great build, was following it as you did it. You able to keep that thing under control with that 429 in it? I'm just going with a 351w, figure that may keep my speeding down some.

Surprisingly, the truck hooks pretty well, and when it does break loose it doesnt get too squirley. It has really only scared me one time, and that was when the road was a bit wet.
