Thank you to those who either helped or offered to help, I greatly appreciate all of you. Being new to the forum and getting such immediate help with obtaining parts is very welcoming, and appreciated. So thank you, again.
Brand new 6000k Lumtronix LED Headlights, with new headlight doors, shiny new stainless trim rings, and an old original set of round style headlight buckets/mounts.
Got one side converted, and I am very happy. Love the look! Took some monkeying and patience to get the bucket mounted to the frame so the headlight was centered in the headlight door, but I got it there. Now on to the other side.
Figured I would add some more details here for anyone looking to do this in the future, in case they miss the fact that the bucket mounts are not interchangeable. When I was searching, to source the minimum parts required to do this swap, I could not find a clear concise answer as to whether the bucket mounts were the same or not. Was obvious that the buckets were different of course, but from parts drawings, exploded views, part numbers, etc it seemed the bucket mounts might have been the same. I of course found out otherwise when I tried installing the round buckets into my original mounts. Although both setups use the same design intent, they both accomplish it just differently enough that the mounts are different. So make it easy on yourself and buy the bucket mount assembly all together, so you get the mount, the bucket, and the spring & hardware that hold them together. Then of course the lights themselves, trim rings to hold them in, and the headlight doors. Get yourself those items and you'll be all set.
So here are some photos to make it obvious for anyone else who may stumble across this thread while searching for info on doing this swap.
Before I started of course, with the square setup
You can see the minor differences in the bucket mounts below (square setup on the left, round setup on the right). It's obvious to me now, but until I had the parts it wasn't so much, because I could not find good photos of each bucket mount to see the subtle differences. At glance in photos that don't show the mounts clearly without the buckets attached, it's easy to assume the mounts are the same. This is why I'm showing them clearly here to point out the difference.
Here's the square bucket mount installed in the truck before I took it out
And here is the round bucket mount as I was installing it
And then of course the finished product with the light and trim ring in, and headlight door on.
Being as I'm a big fan of the round headlights, I'm very happy with the end result.
I've done a lot of reading on this forum, regarding this topic, as I noticed there's been quite a lot of talk about it. I believe I know what I need (and already have most of it), however I'm missing 2 pieces I cannot seem to find, and hoping for some help from someone on here, in obtaining them.
I already have the 13118 & 13119 RH & LH buckets, 13015 trim rings, 7" round headlights, and the 13064 RH & LH headlight doors. Only thing I seem to be missing is the 13008 brackets. I can't seem to find them. I originally thought from what I read that the round buckets would fit into the original brackets that the rectangular buckets mounted to, but I see now the brackets are specific to each headlight shape. My mistake for not catching that earlier.
Can anyone help me find a pair of these brackets that hold the round buckets, to complete my conversion?
The mounting brackets were onlyfurnished with the headlamp assemblies, were not sold by themselves
