E40D trans hits hard in reverse?

E40D trans hits hard in reverse?
its driving me nuts! any time I put the truck in reverse it hits like I had my foot on the gas. Anyone ever experience this problem? and if so what was the cause?

Mine does that too. I have found that before backing the first time, just put it in drive for a second then to reverse, usually real smooth then. This usually happens the first back of the day. After that it doesn't do it.
