Driveshaft question
Anybody with an E series van that has the aluminum driveshaft, can you confirm that the tapered end goes towards the transmission?
I'm doing U joints on my '11 and I think the thing is assembled backwords.. the tapered end is at the rear axle right now.

According to the information I see, you are correct Conanski! EDIT: Yours is correct like it is!
Ford Part No.: 8C2Z-4602-B
Shaft Assembly - Drive 1 Piece Driveshaft Replaced By 8C2Z-4602-C https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts/ford-shaft-asy-drive_8c2z-4602-b.html?vin=&make=Ford&model=E-150&year=2011&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(30 869;36740)
So I searched that part number and came up with these pics.

Hope that helps..

Mine broke the weld off the rear end coupling. I don't know who welded it but they messed up. Welded it back up quick enough to drive it home but then had to take it to a shop to get it balanced.
