Cruise Control

Hey everyone, I just bought a 2020 Ford F250 XL 7.3l V8; however it does not have cruise control and I really miss it. Does anybody know what options I have to get it added by the dealer or even legit aftermarket add-ons. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Buy and install a steering wheel from a higher level model that has the cruise buttons on it.

Configure using Forscan.

(Or so I am told - I bought a takeoff wheel from a member on this forum for exactly this purpose but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet)

If you have a good relationship with your dealer they may cut you a break on the cost, my dealer installed the IBC on my wife's F150 for $150 out the door. Then again, they may not since a steering wheel is more involved.

It takes longer to do the forscan changes then it does to swap the steering wheels. You can be totally done in 30 mins start to finish. The hardest part is releasing the airbag if you haven't done it before.

Can anyone give details or a link to the forscan changes? I bought a 2022 f250 xl without cruise control. I purchased a 2017 steering wheel with cruise.

cruise control enable

The dealer installed our steering wheel today, but couldn't get cruise control to enable. See his screenshot below.

Well I can now confirm I now have 100% funtional cruise control. (Something the dealer said where I bought the truck was "impossible") I installed the new steering wheel and enabled cruise in PCM, BCM & SCCM using Forscan. I did have trouble getting back into truck computer at first, but with the help of @ZooDad I was able to delete the Forscan profiles and then was able to log in and delete DTCs and now all functions as designed .... this was my experience, tinker with your truck and computer at your own risk....
