sync notifying multiple times

sync notifying multiple times
Morning everyone,
Recently I noticed that sync is now notifying me multiple times for 1 text that comes through but the weird part is it tells me the message is from someone else and it does it 3 times. I want to say this is an issue with Android and the newest sync update because recently I was rear ended and now I have a ford escape with sync and it does the same thing. I currently do not have my truck to see which version I am running but the truck was at the dealer about a month ago and they had updated sync.
Has anyone else had this issue with an android phone or even Iphone that they figured out how to stop this?
