No Start issue

Alright I got a 1995 351 F250, and I was doing 70 down the freeway and she just shut off. Not sputter no stall just shut off. It cranks, and sounds like it wants to run. No milkshake in the oil or radiator. No new leaks. Honestly my Coolant temp sensor went out last month and I’ve been lazy and haven’t done it so idk where temp was but i could grab the upper hose for a few seconds before it was to hot.

it looked like maybe it popped a CEL but I don’t have OBD1 scanner, any ideas?

So I got the scanner and only had 1 code 565. I doubt that is keeping me from spark. I replaced the icm fender mounted. Still no spark, Any ideas?

Check and see if the distributor is turning. Could have broke a timing chain.

Lots of things to check, Crank position sensor and pickup in the distributor are a few.

Distributor still spins, wouldn’t the Crankshaft position sensor throw a code? I haven’t ruled that out yet but I just feel my computer would know what the problem was at that point.

565 is the canister purge valve on my list. I think you can pull the spout and see if spark returns.

I’ll give that a shot, who knows how to go about checking the crack shaft position sensor?

Problem has been solved also these trucks don’t have a CSPS they use the PIP in the distributor which is exactly what was wrong with mine, so new distributor and she fired right up. Thanks all for the ideas.

Hope you kept your original. Chinese re-pops from every vendor have a habit of breaking roll pins leading to repeat of your original problem.

Best bet is replace PIP sensor in original dizzy with Motorcraft part & have it as spare.

Motorcraft vs aftermarket:
