I ordered my F250 w/o the wheel well liners but wonder if that was smart? I don't them on most trucks on the lot or when I view the inventory online. So they don't seem very popular. I do want to put bigger tires on and thought there would be a chance the liners would get in the way. Should I have gotten them? I assume they can be added later if desired?

yes they can, i bought them a few weeks later. And they take up very little space so I do not believe you’d have issues with bigger tires….note I only bought the back ones….if you chose to get them advanced auto online has them under the name of Penda Liners for much cheaper, I paid like $85 shipped after a coupon code. Penda is who makes the OEM ones for ford.
I believe they're a must have that really finishes the truck. They make a huge cosmetic difference. This is a well-traveled topic, so a quick search will bring you to many pictures and discussion of Penda/Advanced Auto that camperfanatic01 mentioned above.
If you believe that 1/16" of plastic is the difference between a tire fitting or not, then I'd suggest you're cutting things way too close and those tires would have problems irrespective of your liner choice.

It isn't the thickness but the shape I was worried about. Whether it would intrude very far into the well and affect larger tires.
Seems what I'm finding on Amazon is the rear liners. I believe Ford offered front liners as well which seems like the more important ones. So are you running both front and rear or just one or the other?

Based on previous threads on wheel liners, the fronts are only available from Ford. There are aftermarket rear liners available for the rear. Penda supplies the rear liners to Ford and are available from Advance Auto shipped to home for around $85 with a coupon code that seems to pop up every time you logged onto their web site. I think rears are more important as more things are exposed in the rear wheel wells. The front already has some covering.
There are OEM front ones. Seems like most of the ford part sites show the rear, but are actually for the front. You may want to verify before ordering. The felt ones that come on them help dampen sound, but the plastics would be easier to wash and more durable.
I had them on previous trucks and I would never get them again. IMO they produce a rust magnet behind the liner and once salt gets back there, no way to see it or get it out.
There's already decent enough ones on the front, so I just went with the rear liners on mine. I like that it gives the truck a more finished look, as well as keeping mud out of places. Another benefit, is protection from rocks thrown from the tires at 40-50+ mph....
