No front axle code. In '64 to '69 codes appeared only for optional front axles. Otherwise, it's a Ford standard axle, most likely 5,000lb capacity.

Thank you very much. The truck has a shifter with the split rearend option but it could have been installed after factory for sure. And it has a f500 hood which threw me off to. The engine was the main thing I needed info on. I really appreciate your help.
Does the speedometer show the correct speed in both high and low range, or show very fast in one range and correct in the other? If so, that pretty much tells you the axle was put in later. Very few people went to the trouble to put in the speedometer cable range splitter when adding a two speed rear.
Im not sure as we just got it running after sitting in a barn for several years. Its supposedly an old state road truck. Its in good shape for the year.
Yup. Learned never to do that again when borrowing my grandpa's dump truck back in the 1990s. I tried to shift the differential going down a 6% grade with a bunch of switchbacks. Fortunately I was able to get it stopped. If I'd had a heavier load on it, I'd have been in trouble.
