BW1356 to e40D linkage length

My project 1984 f150 with a 93 cab, 2001 explorer 302, 1997 f250 e40d with a 1998 BW1356 manual shift needs to, well, shift. lol. i have a linkage that says "e40D" on it but i think its from a 97 f250 with a e40d and BW4406. with it snapped on i can shift from neutral to 2wd.

I know i can make the bar myself. just wondering if anyone can measure the center to center of the two pins

Fixed those for you. It is an Electronic 4 speed OverDrive transmission or E4OD for short.

Sounds like an interesting project. Why did you choose the 302 over the 351 or was that engine not good? In 1997 the 351 is a roller block. How are you controlling the transmission: stand alone computer?

Thanks I’m going to fab something up and give here a shot!

we call them e-40-d’s, so it just translated to keypad that way. Lol

im using the complete 2001 explorer 302. Front dress and all of the intake. Stabbed a dostributor in it, swapped tone rings on the balancer She fires up now after some wiring harness issues.

the original 84 302 Was seized. The f250 the e4od is from has a 351 now on my shelf for my 74 bronco. I have a 97 f350 farm truck so I don’t really need the 351 in this daily driver

the truck is wired as a 96 and has a 96 interior so I’m using a 96 ecu. Worked out the explorer power steering pump to f150 gear box last weekend. And just plumbed the ac. Wired in the airbag today. Figured why not. Lol
