I recently traded in my 2019 RAM 2500 that had AMP power running boards and had a problem with rock chips on the front doors. I had mud flaps installed on the front and that took care of the problem. My new 21 F250 had the factory fixed running boards and was wondering if I should still get the front mud flaps for the new truck or not?
i installed mud flaps front and rear on my 2016 expedition with folding running boards for the exact same reason
i just ordered front and back for the 2021 f250 sunday
it has fixed boards but the rocks tossed up on them and past the mirrors made my decision very easy, we have high traction asphalt mix here and the small stones are a real pita when they come loose from road surface
i have had great life service from the weather techs, and my neighbor has husky flaps.
i ordered weathertechs
I ordered my '21 F350 without mud flaps but after the first time driving through gravel and watching stones go by my window, and having slush built up all over the side of the truck at the start of winter, I installed some. I opted for the Husky mud flaps. They're pretty good.
The OEM aren't much more than the Weathertechs. About $10 more for all 4, depending on where you shop ofcourse. The Husky flaps are the cheapest of the bunch.
Think the factory flaps look good and they were still wide enough to be effective with 325/60/20’s with +20 offset (rears cover too, just no good pic):

yup plain black ones are good priced
the ones with F250 or an emblem are $$ imo

If you order them as an option on the truck they are $130 for the set of 4, AFAIK you can get the weathertech for less than $100.

My Weathertech's were $90 +tax for the set of 4 on Amazon. No drilling and fit perfect. Prior to installation I had road grime slung all over the running boards and up the front doors. They dramatically cut down on the dirt and the rocks that the AT tires like to toss up.
Once my truck shows up, I'm thinking about the Rokblokz since it protects alot more. Anyone here have any? One bad thing tho is they cost alot more than Husky.
