Transmission won't shift
1997 F-250 4x4 460 engine automatic.
I hope I'm in the right forum.
Was coming out of the dump yesterday and getting on the hiway when I heard a pop. Transmission would not shift after that. Was able to get to a town at about 30 miles an hour. I think the transmission is a 4aod?
Any suggestions?

The transmission is either an E4OD or a C6. Is there an OD OFF button on the end of the shift handle? If so, it's the E4OD.
