Electrical plug question:
As you can see the wires on the 4 prongs plug are in very bad shape, it was held together with electric tape and some red RTYV (?)...
There is another 3 prongs plug nearby which isn't in much better state...
Question:
Are these just connector plugs or do they have some kind of resistance built into it?
Thank you.
The round four wire plug looks like it is a Duraspark ignition connector. Those can be found at LMC, Dennis Carpenter, etc. or can be ordered from your local parts store. They make a three wire and a four wire replacement. One caveat though, there are actually three duraspark connectors that ford used, but only two are available aftermarket as replacement sockets. If you are looking for the distributor connector, (which looks like the other two, but will not physically connect)? It is unavailable as a replacement socket, and can only be found either from a donor vehicle, or paying painless wiring $100 for their Duraspark harness. The good news, is the painless harness is a direct replacement for 1976 with the blue grommet, comes with all three of the connectors, from the duraspark module to the distributor and is pretty much plug and play. Just not cheap!

When you are saying "Oil sender, Temp Sender, and the Carb Solenoid, (which looks to be missing from yours)." are you referring to the wire going to the carb electric choke coil?
Thanks again
