New Guy, Old Truck
New guy, living in Canada...just imported "Cooter" from Arizona. My 4th pickup...3rd Ford. Interesting importation process, especially during these pandemic times.
The Marti Report says I have one of 120 light blue 1977 F-150 4x4's, made in Fresno, sold new in Montana, sold to a collector in AZ, and put back in service by me.
Still getting to know each other, but it's like slipping on an old pair of shoes. I've already learned lots here and plan on spending my time in the Dent-Side Forum.

Anyone here living in the vicinity of Northern BC? Thanks, and I appreciate any comments/ suggestions for future upgrades or improvements to this new, old truck.
I was actually looking for a 78 or 79 (square headlights, egg crate grill) but was blown away by the unbelievable condition of this truck: A true survivor, with lots amazing
Original paint, original motor and trans, incredible maintenance record, new tires, new shocks and steering stabilizer, new front springs, new steering parts, new suspension bushings,
new windshield and molding, new door molding and overall immaculate unmolested condition. Light blue was NOT my first choice, but I have decided it contrasts well with patina. LOL
It needed a bit of brake work and 2 new headlights to pass the BC inspection, but is now licensed and insured for a full year. I have already hauled several loads for family and friends...
working on a hitch receiver for under the rear bumper, in order to tackle some of the towing chores up here.
Tell me about the loop steps you have on your '76. Are they bolt-on or welded? I will be looking for a similar set for Cooter. More pictures soon, if I can get my hands on the iPhone.

Somehow this thread was a rabbit trail off the original (same name).
Perhaps a Moderator could move this to the main one? Thanks
